During the Tang Dynasty, Lu Xiangxian was a young man of high aspirations and outstanding talent. Ji Xu, the Assistant Minister of Personnel at the time, recognized his abilities, praising him as having "elegant talent and prestige," and recommended him to serve as the Magistrate of Luoyang.
Lu Xiangxian was content with little, always upright and incorruptible in his official duties. He disliked currying favor with the powerful and never harmed others for his own benefit. He was deeply respected by the emperor and achieved remarkable accomplishments.
