Story:
During the Spring and Autumn period, Duke Jing of Qi, wearing a warm fox fur robe, stood by the window admiring the snowy scenery. He found the view exceptionally beautiful and happily told Yanzi that the weather felt very mild.
Yanzi frankly replied, "In ancient times, wise rulers, even when well-fed, would think of those who were starving; even when warmly clothed, they would think of those who were freezing. They often extended their empathy to others, and only then would their states prosper."
