Story:
During the Tang Dynasty, the renowned literary figure Han Yu incurred the displeasure of Emperor Xianzong due to his 'Memorial on the Buddha Bone Relics' and was consequently demoted to the post of prefect in Chaozhou.
Upon assuming his new role, he learned that crocodiles in the local Evil River were causing harm to people and livestock. Han Yu then composed an 'Eulogy to the Crocodiles,' warning them to relocate to the South China Sea within seven days. He declared that if they continued to be stubbornly ignorant and unresponsive (冥顽不灵), they would face capture and eradication.
As fate would have it, a heavy rainstorm soon after drove the crocodiles away.
