Story:
During the Tang Dynasty, a young man from Jiangdong named Xiang Si, also known as Ziqian, participated in the imperial examinations. Initially, he was not widely recognized. Someone brought his examination papers to Yang Jingzhi, who was deeply impressed by his talent.
Yang Jingzhi then composed a poem for him, which famously read: 'Many times I have read poems, and all were good; but observing his character, it surpasses even his poetry. I have never been one to hide another's excellence; wherever I meet people, I speak highly of Xiang Si.' Not long after, Xiang Si was successfully admitted by the imperial court in Chang'an.
