Story:
In 280 AD, Du Yu, the Grand General of the Western Jin Dynasty, proposed to Emperor Wu of Jin, Sima Yan, to launch an expedition against the State of Wu. He swiftly deployed his troops and, within ten days, occupied a significant portion of the Yangtze River basin.
Some officials at the time suggested withdrawing the forces and waiting until the following spring to resume the campaign. However, Du Yu argued that they should press on with their advantage, believing that attacking while morale was high would make the obstacles '迎刃而解' (yield readily to a solution).
Soon after, they successfully conquered the State of Wu in one decisive move.
