During the Spring and Autumn period, Duke Xian of Jin went hunting in the small state of Zhai and became obsessed with the idea of annexing it, to the point of losing his appetite and sleep.
Gushu Hu, a minister renowned for his shrewdness and profound strategic thinking, perceived Duke Xian's desire. He then advised the high official Shi Wei to offer to lead the military campaign.
Under the Duke's command, Gushu Hu and Shi Wei led the Jin army to attack Zhai. Through their combined valiant efforts and Gushu Hu's astute planning, they achieved a decisive victory.
