Story:
During the Three Kingdoms period, Wang Chang, the teacher of Emperor Wen of Wei, Cao Pi, was an upright man who valued his reputation.
When naming his sons and nephews, he carefully chose humble and modest characters. His intention was for them to understand the meaning implied by their names (顾名思义) and not do anything that went against them.
For example, his son Wang Hun's courtesy name was Xuan Chong, and Wang Shen's was Dao Chong; his nephews Wang Mo's was Chu Jing, and Wang Shen's was Chu Dao.
