Story:
During the Western Jin Dynasty, Shi Chong, who was the Inspector of Jingzhou, amassed vast wealth by robbing merchants from other regions. Later, he was transferred to the capital to serve as Weiwei, where he indulged in extravagant spending.
Wang Kai, the uncle of Emperor Wu of Jin, also spent lavishly and sought to compete with Shi Chong in wealth.
Wang Kai once acquired a magnificent coral tree and, feeling very proud, took it to Shi Chong's house to display.
Shi Chong then brought out six or seven coral trees that were dazzlingly brilliant, truly spectacular to behold, and presented them to Wang Kai. Wang Kai, overwhelmed by the sight, admitted his defeat in their rivalry.
