Story:
During the Southern Song Dynasty, Zhu Xi, a renowned Neo-Confucian philosopher, was widely learned in classics, history, poetry, and literature.
One beautiful spring day, he strolled along the banks of the Sishui River. Witnessing a riot of blooming flowers, he spontaneously composed the poem "Spring Day":
"On a fine day, I seek blossoms by the Sishui shore; endless vistas instantly new and fresh. Effortlessly one discerns the face of the east wind, myriad purples and thousands of reds are always spring."
