Before long, the phoenix's head was completed, and a lively discussion erupted among the crowd. Some commented that it resembled a crane, others insisted it looked like an eagle, and a few even thought it appeared like a wild duck.
However, once the entire phoenix was meticulously carved, all the spectators marvelled at Lu Ban's incredible artistry and showered him with praise for his magnificent creation.
