Story:
The earliest anthology of poetry in China, 'The Book of Songs' (Shijing), includes a folk song called 'Grass Insects'.
This song describes a woman's longing for her husband and her joy when she finally sees him.
The woman went to Nanshan to gather wild vegetables, but not seeing her husband made her feel very troubled. She often sang, 'Before I saw my lord, my heart was heavy with worry (忧心忡忡).'
