Yan Zhanmen du, a general of the Jin dynasty, was known for his loyal and honest nature, as well as his meticulous caution.

Even when arrows rained down like showers, he would remain perfectly calm and self-possessed, proceeding with everything according to his well-laid plans.
He was also very brave, personally leading troops to rescue Wanyan Gao, who had been taken captive by Li Shifu of Western Xia.
