miǎo眇
To be blind in one eye, or later, in both eyes. It also means to look with one eye, or figuratively, to disdain or underestimate (e.g., 眇视 miǎoshì).
我们不能因为他出身贫寒就眇视他的才华。
We cannot disdain his talent simply because he comes from a humble background.
Tiny; minute; insignificant.
个人在历史的长河中显得如此眇小。
An individual appears so tiny in the long river of history.
Remote or high; akin to '渺' (miǎo).
