丰城剑气 is a Chinese idiom (chengyu) meaning “an aura or spiritual essence indicating the presence of rare talent, treasure, or an impending significant event; often refers to a place known for producing exceptional individuals or items, inspired by the legend of legendary swords discovered in Fengcheng”. Literally, “Fengcheng sword aura”.
During the transition from the fall of the Wu dynasty to the rise of the Jin dynasty, a purple aura frequently appeared between the Big Dipper (Dou) and Altair (Niu) constellations in the sky.
Lei Huan, a man from Yuzhang, told Zhang Hua, a high-ranking official, about the 'Fengcheng sword aura,' specifying its location in Fengcheng, Yuzhang Commandery.
Zhang Hua subsequently appointed Lei Huan as the magistrate of Fengcheng. Upon taking office, Lei Huan excavated two legendary swords, Longquan and Tai'a, from the Fengcheng prison.
That very night, the purple aura between the Big Dipper and Altair constellations disappeared.
