取之不尽,用之不竭 is a Chinese idiom (chengyu) meaning “Inexhaustible”. An endless supply; to be abundant and never run out. Literally, “Take from it without exhausting it, use it without depleting it”.
During the Song Dynasty, after Su Shi was demoted to Huangzhou, he visited the Red Cliff and spontaneously composed "composed Ode to the Red Cliff".
In it, he wrote: "Only the clear breeze above the river and the bright moon among the mountainswhen heard, they become sound; when seen, they take on color. They can be taken without prohibition, and used without exhaustion. This is the endless treasure of the Creator."
Through these lines, he expressed his feelings of being undervalued and his unfulfilled talents.
