Story:
Chen Bozhi, a prefect during the Southern Qi Dynasty, was retained by Emperor Wu of Liang, Xiao Yan, even after the fall of Qi. However, influenced by his subordinate Deng Shan, he rebelled against Liang.
After being defeated by the Liang army, he defected to Northern Wei, where he became a general and subsequently attacked Liang.
Xiao Hong, Emperor Wu's younger brother, was tasked with a northern expedition. During a standoff at Shouyang, Xiao Hong, in an effort to persuade Chen Bozhi, commissioned Qiu Chi to write a letter urging him to realize his errors and return to the right path.
