Story:

In the late Shang Dynasty, when King Wen of Zhou was still a crown prince, he was exceptionally filial towards his parents. He would attend to them three times a day.

Every morning, as soon as the rooster crowed, he would dress himself and go to the door of his parents' sleeping quarters. He would ask the attendants about his parents' rest the previous night.

Then, he would accompany his parents for breakfast, inquiring about their comfort (warmth and cold) during the meal, and after the meal, he would ask about their appetite and diet.

He was truly a model of filial piety.
