In 544 BC, Prince Jizha of the State of Wu visited the State of Lu to establish a lasting friendly alliance. The State of Lu hosted him with musical and dance performances. Jizha, an accomplished connoisseur of music and dance, observed and evaluated each performance.

When the 'Shao Jian' dance was performed, Jizha concluded it was the final act, remarking, 'This is enough to see.' The people of Lu were greatly astonished by his ability to predict the conclusion of the program.
