Story:

During the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Wang Xizhi, along with 40 other renowned scholars like Sun Tong and Xie An, gathered at the Lanting Pavilion in Kuaiji Mountain. They engaged in drinking wine and composing poems. Wang Xizhi specifically wrote the "Preface to the Orchid Pavilion Collection" (Lanting Jixu) to commemorate this event.

In his preface, he wrote: "When one has grown weary of what one is pursuing, one's feelings change with the circumstances, and one is filled with a sense of emotion! What was once cherished, in the mere blink of an eye, has already become a relic of the past, yet one cannot help but be moved by such thoughts." This passage vividly describes how people's emotions and perspectives naturally evolve as situations and time pass.
