Story:
During the Three Kingdoms period, after Zhao Yun became separated from Liu Bei's two wives and young son A'dou, he searched extensively and eventually found Lady Gan and A'dou.
As Cao Cao's pursuing soldiers closed in, Zhao Yun bravely fought through the enemy lines.
He finally reached Liu Bei, tearfully confessing his failure to save Lady Mi. Deeply moved, Liu Bei wept profusely and, in a dramatic gesture, declared that a son was not as important as his loyal generals, and attempted to throw A'dou to the ground.
His officers quickly intervened and stopped him. This act, though perhaps a calculated display, deeply touched his followers and significantly strengthened their loyalty towards him.
