After Song Jiang became the leader of Liangshan Marsh, his strategist Wu Yong recommended Lu Junyi from Beijing. They devised a plan to lure Lu Junyi to the mountain.
When Lu Junyi arrived at Liangshan Marsh and chased Li Kui, Li Kui darted about, dodging here and there, eventually tricking Lu Junyi onto the mountain.
However, Lu Junyi firmly refused to join the outlaws. Song Jiang and the others then used another trick to let Lu Junyi leave the mountain.
Upon his return to Beijing, Lu Junyi was immediately arrested by the authorities.
