Story:

During the Spring and Autumn period, King Chu went winter hunting. Youyin Zigé discussed state affairs with King Chu. King Chu desired to demand ceremonial tripods from the Zhou dynasty and also planned to invade Zheng.

The minister Pu Xifu feared that King Chu’s demands were unreasonable and urged Zigé to dissuade him. Zigé told an anecdote of King Mu of Zhou. In the past, King Mu of Zhou, heeded the advice of Duke Ji Móufù, who urged him not to travel extensively throughout the land and leave his 'wheel ruts and horse prints' everywhere. This was to avoid giving others opportunities to usurp his power. Zigé used this example to successfully dissuade King Chu.
