Story:
During the Spring and Autumn period, King Fuchai of Wu disregarded Wu Zixu's advice. He reconciled with King Goujian of Yue and, swayed by slanderous remarks, bestowed a sword upon Wu Zixu, commanding him to take his own life. Wu Zixu's body was then cast into the river.
From that day on, the river's waves raged, surging from Haimen Mountain, rolling past Qiantang Yu Pu before gradually subsiding. It was said that, sometimes, in the morning or evening, people could see Wu Zixu riding a white horse in a plain chariot, standing atop the tides.
