文君司马 is a Chinese idiom (chengyu) meaning “refers to deeply in love couples or spouses”. A devoted couple.
During the Western Han Dynasty, Sima Xiangru, a renowned poet and rhapsodist, returned to his hometown of Chengdu. Wang Ji, the magistrate of Linqiong County, invited him to be a guest at the home of the wealthy businessman Zhuo Wangsun.
Sima Xiangru was captivated by Zhuo Wangsun's widowed daughter, Zhuo Wenjun. The two secretly pledged their love and eloped back to Sima Xiangru's humble home, which was practically bare.
They opened a wine shop, with Zhuo Wenjun tending the counter and selling wine, while Sima Xiangru personally brewed it. The couple lived a life of deep affection and mutual love.
