Story:

During the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Xie An, who was a Grand Minister, gathered his children and nephews/nieces on a heavily snowing winter day to discuss poetry and classical texts. He asked his young relatives to compose poems to describe the falling snow.

His nephew, Xie Lang, recited, 'Sprinkling salt in the air is somewhat comparable.'

However, his niece, Xie Daoyun, responded, 'It's not as good as willow catkins rising with the wind.' Xie An laughed heartily, greatly admiring his niece's outstanding poetic talent.
