Story:

During the Tang Dynasty, Emperor Xizong took the palace maid Fangzi, who was skilled in writing, on his tour to Sichuan.

One day, Fangzi inscribed a poem on a red leaf: 'Why does the flowing water rush so fast? Deep in the palace, days are idled away. Gratefully I thank this red leaf, may you go forth into the human world.' She then cast it into a stream.

Later, Li Yin, a scholar from Xiangzhou, found the leaf. By a happy coincidence, they met at a mountain dweller's home, and through this serendipitous encounter, they became a loving couple.
