Instead, he spent his entire family fortune on acquiring books, collecting and meticulously reviewing various texts. The books he had scrutinized amounted to over four thousand volumes.

He left behind a famous saying for future generations: "A man who possesses tens of thousands of books has no need for the power of ruling a hundred cities!"
