Story:
During the Spring and Autumn period, King Fuchai of Wu formed an alliance with states like Jin and Lu. Shen Shuyi, a high official from Wu, needed to borrow military provisions from Gongsun Youshan, a high official from Lu.
Since it was not convenient to state the request directly, they used a coded phrase.
Gongsun Youshan of Lu replied, "We are out of sorghum, but still have some coarse grains. When the time comes, climb the mountain and shout loudly, 'Geng Gui!' and we will understand."
