墙倒众人推 is a Chinese idiom (chengyu) meaning “When someone is in a vulnerable or declining state, others tend to take advantage of the situation to further harm or criticize them; to kick someone when they are down”. Literally, “When a wall falls, everyone pushes”.
During the reign of Emperor Mingzong of Tang, Dong Zhang rebelled in Sichuan. Emperor Mingzong dispatched An Chonghui to personally escort grain and fodder.
However, An Chonghui was framed by Zhu Hongzhao, the Military Commissioner of Fengxiang, and was subsequently reassigned as the Military Commissioner of Hezhong.
Emperor Mingzong then sent Zhai Guangye and Li Congzhang to Hezhong to observe An Chonghui's activities, instructing them to execute An Chonghui if any signs of rebellion were found.
Li Congzhang seized this opportunity to kill An Chonghui and his entire family.
