During the Jin Dynasty, when Wang Xizhi was the Administrator of Kuaiji, Sun Xinggong recommended Zhi Daolin, praising his novel and insightful perspectives. Wang Xizhi, being somewhat arrogant, was initially reluctant to meet him.

Later, while Wang Xizhi was out on official business, he unexpectedly encountered the eminent monk Zhi Daolin. They began discussing "Zhuangzi: Free and Easy Wandering".

To Wang Xizhi's great surprise, Zhi Daolin's discourse was exceptionally profound and original. Deeply impressed and feeling entirely at ease, Wang Xizhi opened his lapels and loosened his belt, listening intently and respectfully.
