Story:

During the Warring States period, King Chu embarked on a tour of Yunmeng with his favored minister, Lord Anling, accompanied by several thousand people.

In high spirits, King Chu went hunting and killed a wild fox with an arrow. He was greatly pleased and exclaimed, "After a thousand autumns and ten thousand years, who will be able to share such joy with me?"

Lord Anling immediately knelt down and replied, "I am willing to accompany Your Majesty to the netherworld, to drive away ants for you and serve by your side."

The phrase 'thousand autumns and ten thousand years' here refers to a very long time, essentially eternal, implying after death.
