During the Warring States period, the State of Zhao was besieged by Qin troops. Lord Pingyuan, Prime Minister of Zhao, sent messengers to the State of Wei for help.
King Anxi of Wei dispatched General Jin Bi to lead an army to rescue Zhao, but under pressure from Qin, Jin Bi hesitated to act.
Lord Xinling, a prince of Wei, stole the tiger tally, killed Jin Bi, and personally led the army to save Zhao.
Later, he fell victim to King Qin's counter-espionage plot and was dismissed from his post by King Anxi of Wei. Consequently, he indulged himself in women and fine wine.
