Story:
During the Five Dynasties period, Li Shouzhen, a general of the Later Jin dynasty, surrendered to the Khitans after suffering a military defeat.
Under pressure from Emperor Gaozu of Later Jin, he later rejoined the Later Jin. However, he became even more reckless, secretly bribing influential officials and expanding his army.
Incited by a young monk, he eventually openly rebelled. The imperial court dispatched Bai Wenke to lead troops to suppress him.
To Li Shouzhen's great disappointment, the generals he had bribed did not support him at all.
