Story:
During the Southern Dynasties, Xu Zhaopei, a concubine of Xiao Yi, the Prince of Xiangdong during the Liang Dynasty, received little affection from him. Consequently, she engaged in illicit affairs, first with Monk Zhiyuan from Yao Guang Temple in Jingzhou, and later with He Hui and Ji Jijiang.
Ji Jijiang reportedly remarked with a sigh, "I never expected that Empress Xu, though already middle-aged, would still possess such charm and be so alluringly passionate."
Xiao Yi, unable to tolerate her behavior any longer, eventually ordered her to commit suicide.
