Story:
Liu Laolao, a distant relative of the Jia family, noticed that her daughter and son-in-law were living in dire straits. She decided to personally bring her grandson, Ban'er, to the Jia mansion to ask for assistance.
She first sought out Mrs. Zhou Rui, the wife of the Jia family's steward. Mrs. Zhou Rui, discerning Liu Laolao's purpose, reassured her, saying, "Grandma, rest assured. You have traveled such a long distance and come with such sincere intentions, how could we possibly not let you meet the 'true Buddha' (meaning the one who can genuinely help you)?"
Following this, she led Liu Laolao to meet Lady Wang and Wang Xifeng.
