Story:
During the Spring and Autumn period, after Confucius and his disciples traveled around various states and met with setbacks, he finally returned to his "parents' land," the State of Lu, with the help of Ran Qiu.
However, Ji Kangzi, who was in charge, considered him too old and did not appoint him to an important position. Confucius believed that he and Ji Kangzi had "different principles and could not work together."
So, he retired to a life of leisure, dedicating himself to writing, and compiled and edited works such as "The Book of Odes," "The Book of History," "The Book of Rites," "The Book of Music," and "The Spring and Autumn Annals."
