Story:
A long time ago, deep in the mountains, a hunter captured a young deer and brought it home to raise.
His hunting dogs longed to devour it, but the hunter strictly trained them to coexist peacefully. The young deer, naive and trusting, came to regard these hunting dogs as its companions.
One day, seeing many other hunting dogs outside, the deer innocently ventured out to play with them. Tragically, it was set upon and killed.
The poor deer, to its very last breath, never comprehended the true nature of its demise, remaining oblivious to the danger it faced, just like the idiom '至死不悟' suggests.
