Towards the end of the Qin Dynasty, Chen Sheng and Wu Guang initiated an uprising, and various rebel forces quickly joined them. Xiang Liang led his army to attack Qin.
Fan Zeng went to meet Xiang Liang and said, "When Qin annihilated the six states, Chu suffered the greatest injustice. Chu Nan Gong once declared that even if Chu were left with only three households, they would still seek revenge and overthrow Qin."
Subsequently, Xiang Liang enthroned Mi Xin, a grandson of King Huai of Chu, as the new King Huai, thereby winning the widespread support of the Chu people and rapidly expanding his forces.
