During the Han Dynasty, the Li family, consisting of a brother and two sisters, came from Zhongshan to the capital, Chang'an.
The brother, Li Yannian, joined the imperial music bureau. He highly recommended his sister to Emperor Wu, praising her as a peerless beauty with a song: "One glance at her could topple a city, another glance could topple a kingdom."
