Emperor Jing ordered General Zhou Yafu to march and rescue the state of Liang. Zhou Yafu established a camp at a place called Liu Ying (Willow Camp). He was renowned for his extremely strict military discipline and meticulous attention to detail; even the Emperor's envoys found it difficult to enter his camp without proper clearance.

Instead of directly engaging the rebel forces, Zhou Yafu strategically cut off their rear routes and severed their supply lines. This brilliant tactic caused the rebel army to collapse without a major battle due to lack of provisions and morale. Zhou Yafu then pursued the disorganized rebels, achieving a decisive victory.

His leadership and strict discipline at Liu Ying became emblematic of excellent military command.
