During the oppressive rule of the Qin Dynasty, the common people suffered greatly. Chen Sheng and Wu Guang were the first to initiate an uprising, and soon other heroes and rebels rose up in swarms, ultimately overthrowing the Qin Dynasty.
Following this, Xiang Yu and Liu Bang engaged in a multi-year struggle for dominance. Xiang Yu, known for his stubborn self-reliance and reliance solely on military force, was eventually cornered by Liu Bang near the Wu River, where he chose to take his own life.
