不尴不尬 is a Chinese idiom (chengyu) meaning “Awkward”. Embarrassing; in an embarrassing or difficult position; neither one thing nor the other; neither comfortable nor uncomfortable.
When Xue Pan went out for business, he got into a conflict with a bartender and accidentally killed him, leading to his arrest. His family raised money and sent Xue Ke to rescue him. He was eventually convicted of involuntary manslaughter, but the matter was not yet settled.
After Xue Ke returned home, Xue Pan's wife Jin Gui and concubine Bao Chan, under the pretense of sending wine to comfort him, tried to seduce Xue Ke. Xue Ke disliked these secretive and awkward attempts and ignored them.
