Story:
In the early Western Han Dynasty, Emperor Gaozu of Han, Liu Bang, dispatched his advisor Lu Jia to bestow the seal of the King of Nanyue upon Wei Tuo.
Although Wei Tuo was from the Central Plains, he had long resided in Nanyue, ruling as king, and was unwilling to assist the people of the Central Plains in eradicating tyrants and rebels. Lu Jia persuaded him to submit to the Han emperor early, explaining that China had a large population and vast territory, fertile land, abundant resources, and unified governance.
After hearing these unprecedented things, Wei Tuo pledged allegiance.
