Story:
During the reign of Emperor Yuan of the Han Dynasty, Imperial Censor Grandee Xue Guangde accompanied the Emperor on a hunting expedition. Emperor Yuan became so absorbed in the hunt that he was unwilling to stop, severely disrupting the daily lives of the local residents.
Xue Guangde then presented a memorial to the Emperor, stating that the local people were rendered displaced and homeless due to the Emperor's hunting activities, and he urged the Emperor to show compassion for their plight.
Emperor Yuan found his counsel reasonable and promptly returned to the palace with Grand Master of Ceremonies Zhang Meng and others.
