Story:

During the Zhou Dynasty, there was a folk festival called 'La' for worshipping various deities. Confucius took his disciple Zigong to watch the festivities.

Zigong worried that people might get into danger by being solely engrossed in amusement.

Confucius explained to Zigong, 'People toil in the fields year-round. Allowing them to relax, with both exertion and rest, is a rule established by King Wen and King Wu, which helps them to be more productive.'
