The hero Song Jiang from Mount Liang went to Xunyang Tower in Jiangzhou to drink. Under the influence of alcohol, he wrote a ci poem titled "Xijiangyue" on the wall and signed his name.
However, the treacherous official Huang Wenbing reported this to Prefect Cai Jiu, framing it as a rebellious poem.
Cai Jiu immediately sent men to arrest Song Jiang. They beat him so severely that he felt like he had died and come back to life (一佛出世,二佛涅槃), his skin was torn, flesh lacerated, and he was profusely bleeding, before finally throwing him into prison.
