After Jia Baoyu moved into the Grand View Garden, he spent his days not studying, but rather playing with girls like Daiyu, Tanchun, and Baochai. His father, Jia Zheng, had no choice but to hire a private tutor, Mr. Dai Ru, to teach him.
However, Baoyu still managed to steal time away to visit Daiyu. They would ramble on and chat idly, often stirring up Lin Daiyu's jealousy. Yet, if they didn't see each other for a few days, both would feel an unbearable longing.
