In the early Tang Dynasty, Crown Prince Li Jiancheng and Prince Li Yuanji, jealous of Prince Li Shimin's prestige, conspired to assassinate him. Li Shimin, having received a secret report, struck first. He unexpectedly killed Li Jiancheng and Li Yuanji at Xuanwu Gate.
Subsequently, their subordinates led an attack on Xuanwu Gate. The defending general, Jing Junhong, stepped forward bravely, fought heroically against the attackers, and ultimately made a glorious sacrifice.
