Story:
Towards the end of the Qin Dynasty, Liu Bang led his army into Chang'an and accepted the surrender of Qin Prince Ziying. Faced with the opulent palace life, Liu Bang was tempted to stay and enjoy its comforts.
However, Fan Kuai believed it was not the right time, and Zhang Liang also advised that occupying the palace would be tantamount to 'assisting a tyrant in doing evil' (助桀为虐), which would cause the people to lose their support. Liu Bang found their advice reasonable and led his troops to retreat to Baxia, awaiting Xiang Yu.
