韩寿偷香 is a Chinese idiom (chengyu) meaning “to have a clandestine love affair or secret romance”. To indulge in illicit relations. Literally, “Han Shou steals fragrance”.
During the Jin Dynasty, the powerful official Jia Chong appointed the dashing and elegant Han Shou as Sikong Cuo. Han Shou often visited Jia Chong's residence.
Jia Chong's daughter, Jia Wu, fell in love with Han Shou and sent her maid to arrange a secret rendezvous. She also stole a precious Western Regions incense, a gift from the emperor to Jia Chong, and gave it to Han Shou.
Jia Chong later noticed a distinctive Western Regions fragrance on Han Shou. After inquiring, he learned the truth and subsequently agreed to marry Jia Wu to him.
